Mike de Bruyn, B.Com. B. Compt (Hons). CA qualified as a Chartered Accountant, after having served three years of Articles with Ernst & Young, in Cape Town, South Africa. This qualification been achieved after six years of part-time correspondence university studies. In 1991 he was admitted as a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants In South Africa, and in 1992 as a Member of The Public Accountants & Auditors Board of South Africa.

Mike was employed `as the Financial Manager in 1991 at the Cape Town subsidiary of a UK Multinational where he was responsible for the Investment Accounting Division. He was entrusted with the accurate recording of a dynamic 1,2 Billion Rand Financial Asset Portfolio in addition to serving on the task force appointed to identify and implement an integrated computerisation system of the entire Investment Division. He was then subsequently appointed to assist the Corporate Finance Director with the International Reporting Requirements. 

Being bored with Corporate Life, he founded his first highly successful Chartered Accounting Practice in Cape Town,  in 1993.  The firm grew rapidly to employ 14 staff within five years.

Perceiving his achieved success in the local market, and for personal reasons, Mike relocated his young family to Sydney, Australia, in 1999. He sat the necessary conversion examinations in 1998, and was admitted as a Member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Australia in 1999 and later attained a registration as a Tax Agent.  He acquired a small local CPA firm; D J Keegan & Associates, a firm that was founded in 1955.  A second acquisition of a Chartered Accounting firm followed in 2003

The firm subsequently consolidated its position in the local market place and now seeks to offer efficient and affective solutions to the many problems faced by small business operators and individual investors.

Mike and his family are Australian Citizens.
